CT police branch warns of COVID-19 mailer fraud

Canton police spoke of residents should still be looking for COVID-19-related scams after a resident there acquired what they believe is a fraudulent mailer.

A mailer sent to a Canton resident lately offered them the possibility to keep as much as $340 a month via a “relief merits interest expense,” in accordance with the doc.

The doc listed “Administrative offices, city of Canton” beneath its return label.

The document became not sent by means of town, and believe it’s an “unsolicited fraudulent document,” in line with police.
