Fairfield police warn residents of new cellphone scam

FAIRFIELD — Police on Wednesday warned residents of the newest mobilephone scam.

“Residents pronounced having obtained mobile calls from certainly one of our officers, claiming they are the subject of arrest warrant,” police spoke of.

“Please be aware of that here’s a scam and that the Fairfield Police branch does not notify people by means of cell of existing arrest warrants and we not ever bring together bond/bail fee over the phone.”

Police counseled any individual who believes they acquired a scan name to contact the branch at 203-254-4800 and choose option 9 to speak with the on responsibility desk officer.
