Bridgeport to add speed bumps

BRIDGEPORT — metropolis officers plan to start installing pace bumps at three new areas beginning Monday.

The city announced the new roadway additions in a statement Friday afternoon.

The three locations are Waterview avenue close the Barnum and Waltersville faculties, Thorme road and Breton highway close Blackham school and Eames Boulevard close St. Mary’s by means of the sea.

the new speedbumps are part of a pilot application announced through the metropolis Public facilities branch and Police fee.

The mission aims to “to bring together information on dashing habits and because of this install velocity humps to curb the risky travel speeds at various places mentioned by way of metropolis Council individuals within the city of Bridgeport,” a statement from Mayor Joe Ganim’s office stated.

In an announcement, Ganim inspired residents to reach out to their metropolis Council member with concerns about speeding.
