(WTNH) — Protestors gathered in New Haven and Hartford Saturday to call on Governor Ned Lamont to extend the state’s evictions moratorium.
automobiles traveled in a caravan to the Governor’s dwelling in Hartford to make their voices heard.
Demonstrators advised information eight they are considering working americans in Connecticut with this push.
One demonstrator noted, “They’re hard worker’s, they’re part of the entrance line that stored the economic system going. and that they can’t find the money for their appoint, they’re residing in tents. There’s a complete tent city now not far from the Columbus apartment, which includes women and children, and these are working americans. You know, these are americans that are waking up every day and serving you espresso, and pumping gasoline, and cleaning your condo, and taking care of your relatives. Who’s taking care of us?”
That moratorium is decided to run out on Dec. 31, simply under two weeks away.
