Bridgeport police investigating Sunday fatal shooting

BRIDGEPORT — Police are investigating two separate shootings Sunday, together with one which resulted in the demise of a 28-year-historical man, officers say.

Bridgeport police Capt. Brian Fitzgerald noted DaJuan Simmons, a metropolis resident, was killed after being shot while riding.

Fitzgerald said gunshots were reported near 644 Norman St. just after three p.m. He mentioned responding officers found a motor car accident in entrance of 178 timber Ave.

Fitzgerald stated Simmons become treated at the scene and transported to St. Vincent’s medical core, where he died two hours later.
