COVENTRY, Conn. (WTNH) — The Connecticut department of energy and Environmental insurance plan is investigating after a car went into Coventry Lake Wednesday.
CT DEEP Environmental Conservation Police, together with Coventry Police, hearth and EMS personnel, the Vernon Police branch, and the Connecticut State Police Dive crew spoke back to an incident.
DEEP experiences a motor vehicle with one occupant went in at Coventry Lake boat launch.
A Coventry Police officer went into the water in an try to discover the driving force, in keeping with DEEP. That officer become unsuccessful.
Tolland County Dive team also conducted a water search for the motive force and changed into unable to find them.
State Police Dive team has taken up the quest efforts at this time. They have been out at the lake for several hours. They pulled out of the lake before 5 p.m. It is not clear if they stopped browsing because of darkness or the restoration of a physique.
At eight:30 p.m., a spokesperson from DEEP mentioned, police recovered the body of the driver of the car from the lake Wednesday night.
The sufferer’s identity has not yet been released.
