Police recuperate body of driver from water following motor vehicle crash into Coventry Lake

COVENTRY, Conn. (WTNH) — The Connecticut department of energy and Environmental insurance plan is investigating after a car went into Coventry Lake Wednesday.

CT DEEP Environmental Conservation Police, together with Coventry Police, hearth and EMS personnel, the Vernon Police branch, and the Connecticut State Police Dive crew spoke back to an incident.

A Coventry Police officer went into the water in an try to discover the driving force, in keeping with DEEP. That officer become unsuccessful.

At eight:30 p.m., a spokesperson from DEEP mentioned, police recovered the body of the driver of the car from the lake Wednesday night.
